The Albany Business Centre redevelopment has successfully opened following a $200,000 refurbishment, focussed on upgrading the complex.

The project was partially funded through the State Government’s Regional Economic Development (RED) Grant Program with a $50,000 grant received from the GSDC.

Officially opened by the Hon Alannah MacTiernan MLC on Saturday 29 October, the opening coincided with the Western Australian Small Business Day. 50 local business operators promoted their products and services in the market-style event, attended by Rebecca Stephens MLA Member for Albany, Dennis Wellington Mayor of City of Albany, and a range of local stakeholders and public.

The redevelopment included state-of-the-art technology integrated in the training room and newly created ‘pod’. The entire complex received a facelift from the black and eco-friendly timber clad exterior, to upgraded communal kitchen and tenants’ offices and workshops. The centre courtyard was complemented by landscape gardens and seating spaces to promote collaboration.

We were pleased to assist in the development of the centre which has provided support, education, and a foundation for small businesses in the Great Southern for more than 23 years.
