The Strategic Plan outlines how GSDC will support a thriving, resilient future for the Great Southern, reinforcing the commitment to working in partnership to deliver meaningful outcomes for the region.

Aligned with State Government priorities and the WA Regional Development Framework, the Strategic Plan ensures a strong connection between regional priorities and broader state objectives. It also sharpens GSDC’s strategic focus, ensuring that the work we do connects directly with the social, economic and environmental factors that influence quality of life across the Great Southern.

This can only be achieved in partnership. Working closely with government, Aboriginal organisations, business and communities, GSDC will help coordinate regional priorities, unlock investment, and support delivery where it matters most.

The Strategic Plan 2026–2029 provides a clear roadmap for GSDC’s role as a regional development leader and reflects a shared commitment to building a strong, liveable and prosperous Great Southern.
