Local businesses connect with government buyers
The GSDC’s Local Content Program provided a targeted networking event helping local businesses unlock opportunities in government contracting and regional development.
We recently hosted the Contracting to Government: Meet the Buyer event in Albany, bringing together local trade and maintenance businesses with government buyers and service providers.
Held at Retravision Stadium on Friday 27 June 2025, the event was part of GSDC’s Local Content Program, which supports regional businesses to grow, diversify, and access government contracting opportunities. 
Attendees had the chance to meet directly with buyers from agencies including the City of Albany, Department of Finance, Water Corporation and others, gaining valuable insights into procurement processes, upcoming projects, and how to position their services for future work.
Events like this play an important role in strengthening local supply chains, building business capability, and ensuring regional enterprises are well-placed to benefit from government investment.
