Middleton Beach Foreshore Revitalisation

The Middleton Beach Foreshore Revitalisation project created improved event space and beach experiences, pedestrian networks, environmental rehabilitation and foreshore protection at Middleton Beach. The $9 million project was supported with State Government funding of $2.5 million through DevelopmentWA, $4.5 million from the Australian Government and $2 million from the City of Albany.

Project Status

Stage 1 of the project, including a seawall and retaining wall, started in November 2019 and is now complete. Stage 2 is under way with the development of a boardwalk and jetty link. The project is due for completion in the second half of 2021.
