Survey to Help Boost Drought Resilience
Community members in the Great Southern inland are invited to take part in a survey about experiences of drought.
The survey will gather vital information for the development of the Drought Resilience Plan, a collaborative project between the Regional Development Commissions and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, funded through the Federal Drought Fund.
This survey is now closed for feedback.
Participants are asked to describe the impacts of past droughts and the actions taken in response. They are asked to contribute ideas on key actions, projects or initiatives that could improve drought resilience. The survey offers the opportunity to register to receive a copy of the plan upon its release.
The survey is intended for people in the Great Southern Shires of Broomehill-Tambellup, Cranbrook, Gnowangerup, Jerramungup, Katanning, Kent, Kojonup and Woodanilling. The Drought Resilience Plan is a cross-regional initiative that also takes in areas of the Wheatbelt and the Mid West.
