The Bibbulmun Track is a long-distance hike trail stretching 1000km from Kalamunda in the Perth Hills, all the way to Albany city center. Undergoing an extension in the mid-1990’s, the ‘new’ Bibbulmun Track was officially opened in 1998.

The 25th anniversary celebrations at Albany Town Hall were attended by more than 140 people from community members, to sponsors, local government representatives, and track volunteers.

Celebrating the individuals and organisations who contributed to the redevelopment, and those who continue to support the track, the event involved the presentation of Honorary Life Memberships.

The centre piece of the 25th anniversary celebration, was the arrival of the end-to-end walkers, who had been on the track since 14 July.

The GSDC has been a supporter of the Bibbulmun Track throughout it’s development.
